Sjogren syndrome

- characterised by lymphocytic infiltration of exocine glands
syndrome of dry eyes (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) in the absence of RA or any autoimmune disease
- associated with HLA-B8/DR3
- features
    - arthralgia
    - dry mough
    - vaginal dryness
    - Raynaud's phenomenon
    - renal tubular acidosis
- increased incidence of lymphoma
- positive rheumatoid factor
- positive ANA
- anti-Ro (SSA) and anti-La (SSB) positive. Can cross placenta and causes congenital heart block.
